Deborah K. Clarke “Miss Debby”, age 55, of Levittown, PA, was called peacefully home on February 25, 2011, at St. Mary Hospital in Langhorne. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she has been a lifelong resident of Levittown. She was a 1974 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School before matriculating from Temple University. Debby was employed as the Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian Church in Levittown, where she was founder and director of the First Presbyterian Church Childcare Center & Nursery School. She will always be remembered for her friendly demeanor, her nurturing way with children, and faith filled disposition which she used to shape thousands of student’s lives and foster their faith. She will be sadly missed by her parents John “Jack” Clarke and Lois (nee: Shaw) Clarke; her brother Ron Clarke and his wife Ruthann; and her sister Pamela (nee: Clarke) Cashin and her husband Thomas. She is also survived by her nieces Leanne and Kimberly Clarke, and Sara and Ashley Cashin; her best friend Debbie Townsend; and all the people she touched in her life. Family and friends may call Sat., March 5, from 10-11am, at First Presbyterian Church, where a funeral service will begin at 11am. In lieu of flowers, contributions are welcomed to the “Debby Clarke Memorial Fund” c/o First Presbyterian Church, 5918 Emilie Rd., Levittown, PA 19057.
