Frank Castiglione

Frank Castiglione, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2011 at his residence. Born in Holmesburg, and raised in Bristol Borough, he was an honorably discharged U.S. Marine Veteran who was in the Pacific Theatre. He was a former employee of Budd Co. where he worked on railroad cars. He will be remembered as a loving, caring, gracious, and giving husband and father to a fault. He had a very high work ethic, even until recently. He was preceded in death by his parents Luigi and Theresa Castiglione; 2 brothers Luigi and John; and 3 sisters Lucille, Helen, and Josie. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 58 years Bernice (nee: Hughes); and his children Frank Costello, Florence (Jon) Wire, John (Sandra) Costello, Jeff Costello, and Roberta Costello. He is the loving grandfather of Roxanne, Tara, Jonathan, Matthew, Lauren, and Jade; and great grandfather of Tanya and Liam. He is also survived by his sisters Rose, Anna, and Adeline; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass on Monday, 9:30am, at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance St., Bristol. Burial, at a later date, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
